India's ace grapplers Sakshi Malik and her husband Satyawart Kadian on Saturday said their fight was against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and not the central government.
"He has been named in the chargesheet submitted by police yesterday. In the minor's case, it is clear that there is a lot of pressure on the family. We will decide on the further course of action after our remaining demands are met by the govt," Sakshi Malik said.
The wrestlers had halted their protest till June 15 after being assured by Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur that the chargesheet in the case will be filed by June 15.
BJP and Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Wednesday asked people to wait for the court's verdict with regard to the allegations of sexual harassment by women wrestlers.
Former Jammu and Kashmir High Court Chief Justice Mahesh Mittal Kumar has been appointed as the returning officer for the Wrestling Federation of India elections appointed by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Monday.
"We will participate in Asian Games only when all these issues will be resolved. You can't understand what we're going through mentally each day," Sakshi Malik said at the Mahapanchayat held at Sonipat, Haryana.
