Amid the protest in Tamil Nadu over the Cauvery water issue, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader TKS Elangovan has said that Karnataka has to release water as rivers cannot be owned by any state.
The legislative resolution passed in the Tamil Nadu assembly against the Karnataka government over the Cauvery water dispute was unilateral, said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai on Tuesday.
