CBI conducted searches at the residence of senior West Bengal minister Firhad Hakim in Kolkata Sunday morning in connection with its investigation into the alleged irregularities in recruitments made by the civic bodies in the state.
Banerjee was seen seated at the 'Rajbhavan Chalo' makeshift stage along with other party leaders. This comes amid ongoing raids on two TMC strongmen- Firhad Hakim and Madan Mitra by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) since Sunday morning in the municipal jobs 'scam' case.
The raids were conducted at the premises of certain individuals including public servants in the ongoing municipal bodies recruitment investigation, CBI officials said.
"From education to coal, there is scam everywhere in West Bengal. There is a scam in everything. The CBI is investigating those cases as well," Dilip Ghosh said.
