Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao launched a scathing attack on Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi following his repeated allegations against the Election Commission, saying that he is doing "drama."
Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticised Rahul Gandhi's allegations against the Election Commission, and said that while the Modi government's last 11 years were filled with hope and progress, the previous UPA government's 10 years were marked by controversies.
He also expressed concern over recent changes in the selection process of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), alleging they raised doubts about the commission's independence.
Speaking to reporters, Thackeray claimed his party had presented several examples of alleged voter list irregularities, citing names such as Aditya Srivastava, Shakun Rani and Minta Devi, whom he referred to as "the oldest lady in the world, 124 years old."
"Rahul Gandhi is the leader of a party which was in power for 55 years. Jo vo mudde uthata hai vo balak buddhi ke mudde hai (the issues he raises are of child-like intelligence)," Saini told reporters here.
Rahul Gandhi, in his post on X, has advocated for shelters, sterilisation, vaccination and community care for stray dogs while opposing their "blanket removal" from the streets of Delhi NCR.
Other than Kharge, the meeting was attended by senior party leaders, including Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sachin Pilot, KC Venugopal, Kumari Selja and others.
