Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], August 13 (ANI): Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao launched a scathing attack on Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi following his repeated allegations against the Election Commission, saying that he is doing "drama."
Speaking to ANI, N Ramchander Rao said, "Rahul Gandhi is doing drama, along with INDI Alliance...I think this is absurd. Let him come to Hyderabad, Telangana, where his government is ruling. Go to Old City where their partner AIMIM has got hundreds of bogus votes that have to be weeded out. There are many voters who have multiple ID cards."
"In fact, Rahul Gandhi should first inquire how the bogus voters are being multiplied in Hyderabad with the help of the present Congress Govt and earlier BRS Govt," he added.
A day earlier, Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi sharply criticised the Election Commission of India, alleging it has failed to enforce the principle of "One Man, One Vote," which he described as the foundation of the Constitution.
Gandhi further accused the Election Commission of neglecting its duty, asserting that the Congress party is committed to protecting the Constitution and will continue to do.
"We are protecting the Constitution. One Man One Vote is the foundation of the Constitution. It is the duty of the Election Commission to enforce One Man, One Vote, but they have not done their duty. We are protecting the Constitution, and we will keep doing it..."
Meanwhile, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge joined fellow INDIA bloc members in staging a protest in Parliament over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) issue.
Several Opposition MPs arrived wearing white T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan '124 Not Out'. (ANI)
