Haryana CM takes dig at Rahul Gandhi, says he raises "balak buddhi ke mudde"

Panchkula (Haryana) [India], August 12 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday trained guns on Leader of Opposition (LoP) Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, saying that the issues raised by the latter are of "child-like intelligence".
"Rahul Gandhi is the leader of a party which was in power for 55 years. Jo vo mudde uthata hai vo balak buddhi ke mudde hai (the issues he raises are of child-like intelligence)," Saini told reporters here.
Intensifying his attack, the Haryana CM further criticised Congress for "insulting democracy".
"When they didn't find any agenda, they started blaming EVMs. Who brought EVMs? There are 7 Assembly constituencies in Haryana, where we were behind by only 12000 votes. Congress is insulting the democracy, the constitution, and the people's mandate. They are in frustration," he added.
The opposition members today staged a walkout from the Rajya Sabha over their demand for a discussion on SIR.
In his address to the upper house, Congress chief and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge this afternoon raised the issue of much-objectioned SIR drive in Bihar.
The chairperson of the upper house expunged his remarks after an appeal from JP Nadda, leader of the House in Rajya Sabha.
The opposition parties have been demanding a discussion on the Bihar voter list revision while raising objections to its implications for the common voters.
Owing to these demands, the Parliament has witnessed constant adjournments, with the government blaming the opposition MPs for disrupting the proceedings. However, the opposition claims otherwise, holding the government responsible for not allowing debates on matters of public importance, such as the SIR drive.
The allegations levelled by Rahul Gandhi have sparked massive political controversy across the country, with the ruling side alleging that it was an attempt to create "anarchy" and further charging them of "working" against the constitution.
On August 7, Rahul Gandhi held a press conference, citing internal analysis. The LoP stated that the Congress expected to win 16 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka but ended up with only nine.
He said the Congress investigated seven unexpected losses, zeroing in on Mahadevapura, where he alleged vote theft involving 100,250 votes. Presenting Congress's research on voting in the Mahadevapura Assembly in Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi alleged "vote chori" (vote theft) of 100,250 votes.
The Election Commission on Monday said that Rahul Gandhi "still has time" to submit a formal declaration to substantiate his allegation of "vote theft" or apologise to the country. The Karnataka CEO on Sunday asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to submit documents to inquire into his "vote theft" allegations against the poll body. (ANI)
