Goa CM Pramod Sawant on Wednesday visited Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Fatorda Stadium) in Margao to review the final preparations ahead of the 37th National Games of India 2023 on Wednesday.
Following India's success at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Hangzhou on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all the medalists who have clinched medals at the para multi-sports event.
"To make Goa a 100 per cent digitalised state, we will send a new project to PM Modi... This would make Goa the first state to be a digital state and we need the centre's support for this. We have also asked for a separate fund for this...," said Sawant.
The flurry of medals continued on Day 3 as Indian shuttlers performed exceptionally to clinch two bronze medals in the mixed doubles event in the ongoing 4th Asian Para Games on Wednesday.

As of now, caste census is the need of the country because the nation will not be able to progress as long as there are some groups in the country who are not as uplifted, said Tiwari.
"Bengal is not progressing the way it should, I pray to Goddess Durga that the State witnesses good governance (Surajya) in future and development happens uniformly accross the state as currently only some people are getting the beneifts," Sawant said while speaking to reporters on Friday.
