Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram International Airport shipped eight tons of flowers through cargo during the Onam season, according to a press release from the airport.

Vyshna, a local resident, expressed her joy, saying, "Wishing everyone a happy Onam! After COVID, this is the first time we can celebrate without restrictions or masks. Let us come together to celebrate our Onam."
The 10-day Onam celebrations in Kerala started with the Atham celebrations on August 20. It is a festival that honours King Mahabali and Vamana (incarnation of Lord Vishnu).
