Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday paid tribute to the three Central Reserve Police Force personnel who lost their lives in the exchange of fire with naxals at the Bijapur-Sukma border.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with the injured jawans at Balaji Hospital in Raipur on Tuesday. Three jawans succumbed to their injuries and 15 remain injured following the exchange of fire with naxals near Jonaguda and Aliguda at the Bijapur-Sukma border.
Three Naxals including two women were killed in an encounter that broke out with security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday morning.
An encounter broke out between the police and the Naxals under the Basaguda Police Station limits in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, said an official on Saturday.
Describing democracy as the best system of governance in the world, Chhattisgarh's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma stated that he is ready to talk to Naxals through video call.
A 6-month-old girl was killed and her mother was hurt in a firing between security forces and Naxalites in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, on Monday, which also left two District Reserve Guard jawans injured, an official said.
As a part of their anti-naxal operation, the monuments built by Naxals were demolished by the security forces in the Hiroli village in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur.
"Four suspects have been taken into custody and an intensive search of the surrounding area is being done by the CRPF, Cobra and District Force," the police added.
