Tripura government on Saturday arranged a special flight to bring back stranded students of the state from violence-affected Manipur. The development came after Chief Minister Prof Dr Saha on Saturday spoke to the Union Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia and requested special air
"Around 150 students of Tripura are there. We are contacting them. I've called a meeting today. We are also in touch with the guardians. We've also started helpline numbers. I can say that the students are safe," Tripura CM said.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha spoke to his Manipur counterpart N Biren Singh over the phone on Friday and inquired about the situation in the violence-hit state.
"Government of Tripura has opened the following helpline numbers for providing support on a 24x7 basis to the residents of Tripura with respect to disturbance in Manipur," tweeted Tripura CM Manik Saha.
Addressing a state-level investment round table meeting at Pragna Bhawan on Tuesday, Saha said that the MoUs were signed with the aim of boosting investment and generating employment in the State.
Addressing the event, CM said, "Civil Services Day is arranged every year to pay tribute and salutation to the great personalities who are devoted to the nation since the inception of the significant day of our history."
