A day after the BJP created history by returning to power in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday submitted his resignation to Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya at Raj Bhavan in Agartala and the Governor asked him to continue till the new government is sworn in.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the BJP's win in the Tripura Assembly elections is a vote for progress and stability and added that the party will continue to boost the state's growth trajectory.
With the declaration of results for the Tripura Assembly polls on Thursday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) returned to power in the state by winning an absolute majority.
