Rudraprayag District Administration and various security forces are continuing the rescue operation for the pilgrims and other residents who have been stranded in Kedarghati due to damage to the roads in Kedar Valley following heavy rain.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a field inspection of the areas affected by heavy rains in Kedarghati, Rudraprayag district on Wednesday night.
"Registration for the visit to Kedarnath Dham will be banned till May 8. There is a possibility of bad weather in Kedarghati for the next three to four days. In view of this, the government has taken this decision," stated an official release.
