Ahead of the 15th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Indian Coast Guard Director-General Rakesh Pal said that the coastal security in territorial waters has been enhanced through patrolling and surveillance capabilities to prevent any terrorist activity in the country's maritime domain
The Indian Coast Guard has commenced the two-day National Level Pollution Response Exercise (NATPOLREX-lX) from Friday at Vadinar in the Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat. The exercise will conclude on Saturday.
All major stakeholders including ports and oil handling companies took part in the meeting including Reliance Industries, Nayara Energy and Hindustan Petroleum.
In a press release, Indian Coast Guard said, "ICGS Arinjay, whilst patrolling in the Arabian Sea, observed one Pakistani Fishing Boat fishing about 15 KM inside Indian waters near the International Maritime Boundary Line on November 21, 2023."
