"On May 26, during a search operation by BSF, one packet of suspected drugs weighing approximately 1 kg was recovered from an isolated bet in Kori Creek about 6 km from BOP Koteshwar," the PRO statement added.
The vessel, MT Xante, was on passage from UAE to Chennai. A medical distress was received by Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre Mumbai from the MT Xante, it said.

These fishermen had ventured into the sea from Thengapatnam, near Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on April 16. Subsequently, their boat developed engine failure and they were adrift without any help for five days.
