Following a decisive victory in the recent Assembly by-elections across seven states, Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai said on Saturday that the INDIA bloc will emerge victorious in all future elections, predicting the downfall of the BJP.
The results of assembly bypolls came as a setback for BJP which won only two of 13 seats with INDIA bloc winning 10 seats and an independent candidate winning a seat in Bihar defeating the ruling NDA.
Slamming the BJP over the recently concluded by-poll, Congress leader Pawan Khera said on Saturday that for the second time in one and a half months, the people of the country gave a strong message to the BJP.
The amendments shall come into force on July 12, the date of the publication in the Official Gazette-- a move in anticipation of the speculated assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
