Patna (Bihar) [India], July 8 (ANI): Hitting out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his visit to Manipur, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Giriraj Singh on Monday called him "Yuvaraj" for not visiting West Bengal when atrocities were committed on Hindu women and stated that his visits can deteriorate the situation of Manipur.
Giriraj Singh said, "Some people have become habitual of political touring, but the "prince" was silent when Hindu women in Bengal were beaten on roads, that too according to the Sharia law. When the political situation is improving in Manipur, he has gone to deteriorate the situation of the state."
Singh further slammed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on his remarks of "Modi Ki Chinese Guarantee" and said instead of Modi Ji, it was Nehru Ji who gave India's land to China.
Lashing out at Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks of 'Modi Ki Chinese Guarantee', Singh asserted, "33,000-34,000 sq. km land, which Nehru Ji had given, apart from it, Modi Ji hasn't let anybody to take an inch of land. I am saying this while thumping my chest. I urge Kharge Ji to not spread lies. It was Nehru Ji who deceived India and its land. He gave 34,000 sq. km of land to China and Congress should apologize for it."
Hitting out at Congress leader Shashi Tharoor for mocking BJP's slogan of 400 paar, Singh said, "Congress is trying new methods to turn their defeat in Lok Sabha elections into a victory. First of all, Congress leaders should accept their defeat for the third consecutive term where they couldn't even secure 99+ seats. Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor should speak on this issue."
On the issue of fresh terror encounters in Jammu and Kashmir, Singh stated, "During Congress rule, from Jammu and Kashmir to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Bihar, there were terrorist attacks in the nation. But now, these terrorists stay hidden like rats in their holes and when they show up, they are sent to hell and the same thing happened in Kashmir. Congress should refrain from demoralizing the security, paramilitary, and military forces of Jammu and Kashmir. Instead of praising, the Congress has only abused the bravery of the army personnel."
On Rahul Gandhi's confidence in defeating BJP in Gujarat, Singh said, "They haven't won even a seat in some states. First, they should open their account in those states and then say something."
Earlier in the day, Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi reached Imphal to meet the victims of violence at the relief camps in the state.
The Congress leader arrived at the Imphal airport earlier this afternoon to visit relief camps and will call upon Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey this evening.
He is scheduled to meet Governor Anusuiya Uikey at 5.30 pm. after which he will address a press conference at the Manipur Congress office at 6.15 pm.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi visited the Jiribam Higher Secondary School relief camp and offered support to the victims of violence there.
The official handle of the Congress party took to a microblogging site and posted on X, "LoP Rahul Gandhi visits Jiribam Higher Secondary School relief camp, meets victims of violence and offers support in their darkest hour. His third visit to Manipur post-violence shows his unwavering commitment to the people's cause."
Rahul Gandhi also visited the relief camp at Sadbhavna Mandap, in Tuibong, Churachandpur district in Manipur. (ANI)
