The Government of India on Thursday accepted the long-standing demand of industry to remove dual compliance of Environmental Clearance (EC) and Consent to Establish (CTE) for setting up of new industries.
Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Vijayapura district in-charge, MB Patil, clarified on Saturday that the confusion over 1,200 acres in Honavada, Tikota taluk of Vijayapura district, being designated as Waqf property was caused by a gazette error.
"Adequate force has been deployed, including 3 gazetted officers, 10 Inspector, 25 Sub-Inspectors, 50 Head Constables, and 150 constables. Directions have been conveyed to the candidates. Compliance will be ensured as per the Model Code of Conduct," said the SP.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that he has instructed the Karnataka Public Service Commission to arrange a re-examination of gazetted probationary posts as soon as possible.
