New Delhi [India], October 26 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Dwarka, Vinay Mishra has been appointed as Vice Chairman of Delhi Jal Board.
The Gazette notification was issued after the approval of Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on October 25.
AAP MLA from Ambedkar Nagar, Ajay Dutt and MLA Preeti Tomar from Tri Nagar have also been appointed as members of the board.
Vinay Mishra is part of the Delhi Legislative Assembly from Dwarka constituency.
He was elected as an MLA in 2020 winning the seat with 71,003 votes. He has done Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM).
Before Mishra, AAP MLA Somnath Bharti was the Vice Chairman of the DJB, but just before the Lok Sabha elections this year, he resigned from the post.
Meanwhile, in a fresh row, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday alleged that former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked during a rally in the national capital by the "goons" of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
