Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 26: Mumbai city continues to witness major fires, especially in high-rises. As per the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), 2,925 fire-related calls were recorded from January 2023 to July 2023. The major fire incidents were recorded in high-rise buildings like
"Renovation work is going on in this hotel located on Camel Back Road, due to which the hotel is empty and there has been no loss of life. Fire brigades are trying to control the fire," SHO Bisht told ANI.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Municipal Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident occurred at 12.14 am today and no casualties were reported.
"Late night at 3 am, a three-storey building suddenly collapsed in Barabanki's Fatehpur Kotwali area. There was a stir in the whole area due to the loud sound of the building falling. We received information about this from the local residents," said Barabanki SP.
Shopkeepers noticed the fire and immediately alerted the local fire brigade. Following the information, a fire engine reached the spot, but its water drained out soon and the fire could not be controlled.
The fire incident occurred in the basement of the hospital at around 5 pm. On getting the information about the incident, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control within time.
