An encounter is being carried out on Tuesday between security forces and naxal cadres in the jungle of Karkanguda, Sukma in Chhattisgarh, according to officials.
Three naxals, two males and one female, were killed in an encounter with security forces in the forest of Abujhmad at Chhattisgarh - Maharashtra border areas, Narayanpur police said on Monday.
Sharing details about the incident, District Collector Sanjay Agarwal said, "The lightning struck the eight people in the Joratarai village during rains. The six students who were returning to their homes back from school and the three other people took shelter under a shed below a tree."
