After the union government filed an affidavit against the Bihar government's decision to conduct a caste-based survey in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav took a swipe at the Centre, accusing it of ‘lying and suppressing the truth’.

Reacting over the Patna High Court's judgement dismissing the petitions challenging the Bihar government's caste-based survey, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday said that this is not just a decision but a decision for the poor.
After the Supreme Court declined to lift the stay order passed by the Patna High Court on the caste-based survey in the Bihar state, Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Prof. Manoj Jha on Friday called the verdict as "a setback for people of the state".
