PM Modi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured in the accident from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
"10 patients have been admitted in Buldhana Civil Hospital. The devotees from Andhra Pradesh who were going to Nashik and Shirdi for Dev Darshan, their bus met with an accident...35 people have been injured," the Doctor told ANI.
J&K CM's Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani responded to the Handwara bus accident in Kupwara district, where two girls died during an excursion. He announced relief from the CM Fund Rs. 1 lakh for the deceased, Rs. 50,000 for the seriously injured, and Rs. 25,000 for those with minor injury.
"There were around 20-25 people. I saw that the crowd and congestion with the college bus being there, the situation seemed bad. We had put the cloth on people's heads, everyone in the bus were girls," one of the locals told ANI.
A State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) bus travelling from Jammu to Srinagar overturned inside the Banihal Qazigun Navyug tunnel, leaving at least 12 passengers injured, police said on Thursday.
According to Senior Police Inspector Kanhaiya Thorat of the Hinjawadi Police Station, the driver, Janardan Hambardikar, allegedly placed highly inflammable chemicals under his seat and deliberately set the vehicle ablaze, attempting to disguise it as an accident.
