Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday met with people injured in Bhimtal bus accident and inquired about their well-being at Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani, Nainital.
Bharatiya Janata Party MP Ajay Bhatt on Wednesday expressed grief over the bus accident in Bhimtal area of Uttarakhand's Nainital in which four people lost their lives and 21 were injured.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday instructed to provide a relief amount of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the people who lost their lives in the bus accident near Nainital's Bhimtal, a press release from the CM Office said.
Four people lost their lives and 21 were injured after a roadways bus fell into a gorge about 100 meters deep in the Bhimtal area of Uttarakhand's Nainital on Wednesday.
"The news of the bus accident near Bhimtal is very sad. The local administration has been directed to carry out immediate relief and rescue operations. I pray to Baba Kedar for the safety of all the travellers," he wrote on X.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 5, "The death toll in the Kurla bus accident has risen to 8. One more injured person died at Sion Hospital. The deceased was a resident of the Ghatkopar area, named Fazlu Rehman Shaikh (52) who died during treatment today."
