Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Humayun Kabir on Tuesday announced that the foundation stone of a "Babri Masjid" will be laid on December 6 in Beldanga, Murshidabad district, following the appearance of posters across the district.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Saturday launched a scathing attack against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Humayun Kabir for claiming to build Babri Masjid in West Bengal, calling it appeasement politics for votes.
"We will lay the foundation stone of Babri Masjid on December 6 in Beldanga, Murshidabad district. It will take three years to complete. Various Muslim leaders will participate in that event," Kabir said on Friday.
According to one of the members of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, Anil Mishra, highlighted the significance of the "dhwaj", or the flag hoisting ceremony. He also said that the trust will ensure that everyone receives the darshan prasad when they come for prayers.
