As many as 108 people lost their lives and 128 individuals were injured after massive landslides hit the hilly areas of Kerala's Wayanad earlier on Tuesday.
A high-level meeting was held under the leadership of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday to coordinate rescue operations in the landslide hit areas of Wayanad and discuss further steps on it.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that more than 250 people have been evacuated to a safer location and 300 personnel have been deployed for the rescue operations after a landslide hit the Meppadi area of Kerala's Wayanad on Tuesday.
