Affiliation of 56 Madrasas cancelled after they're found non-operational in MP's Sheopur

"All the District Education Officers across the state have been instructed to conduct physical inspection of the Madrasas operating in their area. During the inspection, the Madrasas which are found not being operated according to the rules of the state government, a proposal to cancel their affiliation should be sent to the Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board. The assistance provided by the School Education Department to those Madrasa which are not being operated according to the rules will be discontinued immediately," the release read.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 30 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board has issued an order to cancel the affiliation of 56 Madrasas after they were found non-operational in Sheopur district, stated an official release issued on Tuesday.
"All the District Education Officers across the state have been instructed to conduct physical inspection of the Madrasas operating in their area. During the inspection, the Madrasas which are found not being operated according to the rules of the state government, a proposal to cancel their affiliation should be sent to the Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board. The assistance provided by the School Education Department to those Madrasa which are not being operated according to the rules will be discontinued immediately," the release read.
A copy of order issued dated July 29, which is with ANI, reads, "Following the orders, District Education Officer (DEO), Sheopur formed a team for verification of operation of 80 affiliated (54 aided + 26 non-aided) Madrasas operating in Sheopur and completed its physical verification. According to the report of Madrasa Physical Verification Committee, out of 80 Madrasas under Sheopur District, 56 Madrasas are completely non-operational and a proposal for cancellation of affiliation of these non-operational Madrasas has been sent by the DEO, Sheopur."
In this regard, the Office of the Madrasa Board issued a show cause notice (according to the attached list) to the Madrasas concerned on July 16 and sought reply within three working days. But till date the Madrasas concerned have not submitted the reply to the Office of Madrasa Board, the order copy stated.
"Therefore, on the basis of the report of the District Education Officer, Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board hereby issues orders to withdraw affiliation of 56 non-operational reported madrasas of Sheopur district from July 29," the order read.
All the departments concerned are informed that all types of government facilities given to the madrasa mentioned in the order should be stopped. DEO Sheopur should ensure admission of the students of these madrasa in other madrasas or government schools operating in the district under his supervision, the order further stated. (ANI)
