Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai, has departed for Delhi where he is expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Two days ago, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswamy met with Amit Shah in Delhi.
Amid the speculations over reunion AIADMK and BJP, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AlADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said that a decision on alliance will be made when elections comes near.
"Various issues of Tamil Nadu were discussed with Union Minister Amit Shah. We stressed two-language policy should continue in the State. Requested to release funds and implement various schemes for Railway projects," the AIADMK leader told reporters in Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Stalin, reflecting on the policies of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, reiterated that the DMK government has consistently supported Muslims, pointing to key initiatives such as the reinstatement of Miladi Nabi as a government holiday.
