Mumbai/Ludhiana/Trivandrum, Jul 23 (ANI): Truck operators strike across India hit the supplies of various items as truckers continued protest against rising fuel prices, shooting up the inflation of groceries rates on Monday. Truck owners went on an indefinite strike on July 20 protesting against the government to bring down the price of diesel and petrol and reduction in toll prices. Only a fraction of smaller pick-up trucks are operating and that too are sometimes being hounded by the truckers union and forcefully stopped. The strike was announced after the talks of negotiation between the All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) and the Union government did not yield desired result.
