New Delhi, Oct 01 (ANI): The desktop app of Telegram incurred a major flaw which can render public and private IP addresses of its users vulnerable during voice calls. The flaw was uncovered in the app’s peer-to-peer framework. As explained in the blog of security researcher Dhiraj Mishra, Telegram forces clients to only use P2P connection for calls. Mobile users don’t have to worry as there are settings to keep the information private whereas the desktop version does not have such a setting which results in IP addresses getting exposed.
