Smartphone users to reach 65 cr mark in 2019

New Delhi, Mar 12 (ANI): The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) informed that the number of Smartphone users is expected to reach 65 crore in 2019, up from 40 crore in 2017. The official Twitter handle of the ministry's Digital India initiative released an info graphic according to which around 117.82 crore mobile connections are present in India, out of which 102.57 crore connections are active according to the Visitor Location Register (VLR). 90 percent of internet users access it through phones among the 40 crore Smartphone users.
