Reliance Jio warns against 'fake' Jio Coin apps

New Delhi, Feb 01 (ANI): The Reliance Jio confirmed that it has not launched any Jio Coin app that are soliciting investments in cryptocurrencies from the people. The telecom company, in a statement, said, "The Reliance Jio come across reports in media and other websites about the existence of purported Jio Coin Apps on the Internet that are soliciting investments in cryptocurrencies from people. Reliance Jio would like to inform the public and media that there are no such apps offered by the company or its affiliates or associates". It further said that any such apps using the Jio Coin name are fake and advised the public to refrain from dealing with any of them. "Reliance Jio takes a serious note of such fraudulent attempts by unscrupulous persons to misguide the public in the name of Jio and reserves the right to take appropriate legal recourse", the statement added. After reports emerged that Reliance Jio is launching Jio Coin soon, several fake apps with the name Jio Coin started cropping up on the Google Play Store.
