Google announces multilingual version of Assistant

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Google announced that by the end of 2018, Google Assistant will become multilingual by supporting 30 languages, covering a base of 95 percent of Android users. Furthermore, the tech giant announced that its voice assistant will automatically detect the language each time a user speaks and responds in kind. In its launch this year, Assistant was only available in English, but has now expanded its base to other languages, like French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Over the next 10 months, Google said it would be adding nearly 22 more languages, subsequently stretching to 30 in the months to come. Google also announced the launch of routines and new integrations for Assistant, starting with Android hardware manufacturers to integrate Assistant with their devices, in order to launch specific features.
