New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): Social Media giant Facebook will make it easier for its more than two billion users to manage their own data. It's a response to a tough new EU law that comes into force in May. The General Data Protection Regulation is the biggest overhaul of personal data privacy rules since the birth of the internet. It aims to give Europeans more control over their information and how companies use it. Firms falling foul of it face a penalty of four percent of global annual turnover or 20 million euros, whichever is greater. Sandberg admitted Facebook had not done enough to stop the abuse of its platform. It's promised to double the number of people working on safety and security to 20,000 by the end of the year.
