New Delhi, May 25 (ANI): Social media giant Facebook has announced its three-pronged strategy to combat fake news. The strategy to counter fake news involves removing accounts and content that violate its policies, reducing distribution of inauthentic content and providing its users more context on the posts they see. Although fake news does not fall into category of Facebook that violates its community standards, it sometimes violates social network categories such as hate speeches, spam and fake accounts. Facebook has also collaborated with fact-checking third parties to counter fake news menace in some countries.
