Asian Games 2018: Gold medalist sprinter Sarita Gayakwad receives grand welcome

Dang (Gujarat), Sep 09 (ANI): After exceptional performance in Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta, sprinter Sarita Gayakwad received a grand welcome in her village in Ahwa of Gujarat’s Dang. She had won gold medal in women’s 4x400m relay race. She ran barefoot at the Asian Games 2018 and became the first woman athlete from Gujarat to win Asian Games gold for India. Gayakwad was part of team of Hima Das, VK Bismaya and MR Poovamma.
