Terracotta craftsmen busy preparing products ahead of Diwali

Gorakhpur (UP), Oct 23 (ANI): Terracotta craftsmen in Gorakhpur are making products for Diwali. The demand for terracotta products increases during the festival. These terracotta products include diyas and several other home decor products such as idols of God and Goddess, lantern, bullock cart, etc. The price of these products starts from Rs 5 to Rs 1,000. According to a craftsman, “We earn around Rs 1 Lakh annually. There’s good business only during Diwali. There’s a high demand for decorative pieces. If government provides us facilities, equipment, arrangement for clay, it’ll be helpful”.
