Tax evasion by politicians, royalty exposed in Paradise Papers

New Delhi, Nov 06 (ANI): A number of leaked documents, being dubbed as ‘Paradise Papers’, have exposed names of several Indian and foreign high-profile individuals and corporations allegedly indulged in evading taxes. The trove of 13-million plus papers, being the second biggest revelation after Panama Papers, exposed hidden banking activities of some of the world's wealthiest people. Some prominent world-famous people whose names have popped up in the files are: U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Britain's Queen Elizabeth, Russian President Vladimir Putin. Few Indian celebrities whose names have surfaced are: Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Congress leaders Sachin Pilot, Veerappa Moily, Former union minister of Overseas Affairs Vayalar Ravi, YSR Congress leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, MoS for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, BJP leader RK Sinha. These revelations have been made by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, in partnership with 96 news organisations.
