New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): Recovering the Budget day losses, the stock market on February 04 surged over 900 points on the back of cut in global oil prices. The Sensex rose by 917 points to end on 40,789 at the closing session on Tuesday. The broader Nifty 50 gained 216 points to finish at 11,979 as markets shed the losses of Saturday when Budget 2020-21 apparently failed to boost investors’ sentiments. Among stocks, Titan emerged as the biggest gainer, with 7% surge in its share price after the jewellery maker reported 13% growth in Q3. ITC, Bajaj Finance, HDFC and RIL were among the other gainers.
