RBI extends moratorium on loan for another next 3 months

Mumbai, May 22 (ANI): Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das on May 22, announced a further extension on moratorium on loans by another three months. While addressing the nation, he said, “Three-month moratorium we allowed on term loans and working capitals we allowed certain relaxations. In view of the extension of the lockdown and continuing disruption on account of COVID-19, these measures are being further extended by another 3 months from June 01 to Aug 31.” Earlier in March, RBI had also allowed a three-month moratorium on payment of all term loans due between March 01, 2020 and May 31, 2020.
