International trade fair kicks off in the national capital

New Delhi, Nov 15 (ANI): The 37th International Trade Fair, themed on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Startup India Standup India'’ initiative, kick started in the national capital.Nearly 3,000 exhibitors and participants from almost 22 countries have put up their pavilions at the annual fair, organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation. A stall owner from China, Hayath said that the fair was the platform for the international suppliers to showcase and bring their products to the Indian markets. The first four days of the 14-day event will be open only for business visitors after which it will open for general public. Startup India and Standup India campaigns focus on providing financial help to start-up businesses and create job opportunities for the youth, women and people belonging to the lower castes. The fair will conclude on November 27.
