India's crude oil production rises 4.6 pc in May

New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): According to government data released on June 17, crude oil production in India increased by 4.6 per cent year on year to 2550.05 thousand metric tonnes (TMT) in May, boosted by a sharp increase in production by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).May 2022 crude oil production was 2.44 percent higher than the target for the month and 4.60 percent higher than May 2021 production. According to data released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, cumulative crude oil production during April-May 2022 was 5019.72 TMT, which is 2.86 per cent and 1.79 per cent higher than the target for the period and production during the same period last year, respectively.
