Income Tax raids at VV Minerals group, 100 other locations in TN

Chennai, Oct 25 (ANI): The officials of Income Tax Department (I-T) conducted raids at various locations across Tamil Nadu belonging to mining manufacturer VV Minerals and its owner Vaikundarajan on Thursday. The raids also covered three other companies- Beach Minerals, Industrial Mineral Company and Indian Ocean Garnets Company. Searches are underway at 100 locations in Tamil Nadu. The raids have come after IT received information of unaccounted income and also for illegal beach and minerals export. Established in 1989, VV Minerals is manufacturers and exporters of garnet and ilmenite.
