ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar resigns, Sandeep Bakshi takes charge

New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): ICICI Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) Chanda Kochhar has resigned on Thursday with immediate effect. She has been replaced by Sandeep Bakshi. He will serve as the new MD and CEO for five years. The board had accepted Kochhar’s request for early retirement. An enquiry was pending against Kochhar regarding conflict of interests. The bank said the enquiry pending against her will remain unaffected by Kochhar’s resignation. Sandeep Bakshi was in June appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ICICI bank.
