GST return filing date extended in Kerala & parts of Karnataka

Kodagu (Karnataka)/ Palakkad (Kerala) , Aug 22 (ANI): In the wake of catastrophic floods in Kerala and landslides in parts of Karnataka, the Government has decided to extend dates of filing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns. The deadline has been extended from August 20 to October 5. The Government has also exempted Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) on import and exports of relief material for the floods in Kerala. The decision is expected to bring sigh of relief for the affected in the states. Restoration process of the affected regions has been started with the help of financial aid.
