GST Council Meet: Rate for under-construction building, affordable housing reduced to 5%, 1% respectively

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): After attending 33rd meeting of GST council Union finance Minister Arun Jaitley addresses a press conference. While addressing a press conference Arun Jaitley said there are two agenda items in the meeting, one is real estate sector and anther is lotteries. He announces that GST payable for under-construction flat will be now 5% which is currently 12%. Affordable housing will have 1% GST rate which is currently 8% and that will come into effect from April 1.
