GST Council fixes 28% uniform tax rate for lottery

New Delhi, Dec 18 (ANI): Union Revenue Secretary has announced the single rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on December 18. “It has been decided to levy single rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) that is 28% on both state run and state authorized lottery. The new rate shall be effective from 1st March 2020,” said Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey. The decision came into light after the 38th GST council meeting in New Delhi.
