GST capped at 5% in all restaurants: Arun Jaitley

Guwahati (Assam), Nov 10 (ANI): While announcing the revision of its highest 28 percent GST tax slab, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that all restaurants in the country will now be levied GST of 5%, adding that there will be no ITC benefit to any restaurant. While addressing the media after 23rd GST Council Meet in Guwahati, Jaitley said that about 178 items have been moved from 28 percent to 18 percent GST slab. The finance minister stated that the council has been reviewing rates from time to time.
