Government cuts petrol, diesel prices by Rs 2.50

New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Bringing a big relief to consumers, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced that the government will cut fuel prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.50. He also said that the government can be in a situation to give relief when the domestic parameters of revenue are strong. Briefing the media, Jaitley said, “We are able to give relief to consumers only when the domestic parameters of revenue are strong. Today during our interministerial discussions we will decrease excise duty by Rs 1.50. The Centre will give relief of Rs 2.50 to consumers on petrol and diesel.”
