Gujarat /Mumbai, Nov 15 (ANI): As eating out at restaurants became cheaper after the GST council lowered the tax rate to a uniform 5% from 12% on non-AC restaurants and 18% on air-conditioned ones, food lovers on Wednesday welcomed the government’s decision. People across the country have been openly supporting the decision and believed they can now eat freely in their choice of restaurants. As the restaurants did not pass on the input tax credit (ITC) to customers, so the facility has been withdrawn and a uniform five per cent tax is levied on all restaurants across country.
