New Delhi, Apr 28 (ANI): World's biggest online retailer Amazon raised the price of its Prime membership for United States (U.S.) subscribers to add a windfall to the company's subscription revenue. Amazon hiked its Prime membership price by $20 for U.S. subscribers. It's going up from $99 to $119 a year this spring. Prime is Amazon's loyalty club that includes shipping and video streaming. It's been key to Amazon's strategy. Prime now has more than 100 million members globally spending above average. Amazon is the world's biggest online retailer. On Thursday, it delivered earnings and a forecast that blew past Wall Street targets. The results also showed the company has successfully expanded beyond shipping packages into businesses such as cloud and streaming services
